I had a wonderful dinner tonight when mum came over – we had some wraps with a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, coleslaw, fresh tomatoes, red onions, chargrilled capsicum and some grated tasty cheese. To round off the dinner we had the stick date pudding and ice cream I bought on Monday which was nice on a cold night tonight – although it is 9 degrees celsius it feels more like 5 degrees celsius. It’ll be interesting to see what the weather is on Wednesday.
An update to Chrome 151 will be released tomorrow and Chrome 152 will be released next week. It also appears that the transition to Sqlite backend has been moved from Chrome 154 to Chrome 156 – if you follow the bug report it appears that there is still many bugs that need to be addressed with many of them probably around using the old backend for existing data and using the new backend for new data. For someone like me, I’ve always cleared the cookies and cache when ever I update or upgrade to the next version of Chrome which probably explains why I’ve avoided many issues.
I’ve noticed some weird behaviour on my internet connection recently when I log into the UniFi management console to see what is happening – for some strange reason there are drop outs. Ubiquiti has made available for a release candidate of UniFi OS 5.1.30 for the dream router 7 that I have. They normally wait 7 days before moving it from a release preview to a stable version. Once it is released what I’m going to do is update and then once done I’ll do a reset so I can set it up again to see whether that addresses the issue. While I wait for that to happen I’m still looking at One NZ and 2 Degrees because they’re some of the few ISPs in New Zealand that interconnect at major points of presence which can improve local network performance from traffic in New Zealand.
